Our family raises full time support in order to care of refugees in the Middle East. Our heart is to minister to those who are in great crisis, in need of a hope and a peace they don't know how to find. We have had favor and opportunities to share this hope and peace throughout the Middle East. There is great conflict happening all over this region, civil war, rage and anger between people groups and injustice everywhere, yet there is an even greater hunger for the truth and to know a God that is real. Psalm 146 God has heard the cry of the oppressed and "He will execute His justice" for them. As a family we have been given an opportunity to partner with The Lord in bringing His peace and Hope to this region.
We are a family of five, Jordan, Jessica, Jedidiah Joshua (aka JJ), Beniniah Samuel and our newest addition Brazen Delight our first girl! Our journey together has been one of great faith, risk, hardships and excitement! Our story really consists of one thing, God’s faithfulness and provision!
In May 2011, Jessica and I were introduced to Crisis Response International. After lots of prayer and many confirmations we joined CRI as full time staff. We began helping lead long term trainings and then made our first deployment as a family to Japan to help and care for people that were affected from the massive tsunami and earthquake. This was the begining of many deployments and trainings our family would help lead. We worked for CRI for about 4 1/2 years. We are currently in the process of coming underneath another organization to continue to do the work in the Middle East.
During our time with CRI we responded to the following disasters:
Japan: earthquake, tsunami and floods
Philippines: two seperate typhoons
Israel: for training and the 8 day conflict
New York: for Hurricane Sandy
Moore, Oklahoma: the tornado
Middle East: Syrian and ISIS war working with refugees
We have seen great miracles, people coming to know a generous loving God, disasters and Gods hand of Mercy stretched out to His children in need.
As we have travled caring for so many people in Crisis we have realized that our great passion is to walk with people through the darkest times of life and bring them hope and love. In doing this we see the value of long term relationships and building communites. Thats why we will be planting ourselves for the next 2-5 years in the Middle East. We desire to be in the difficult areas, the places where the darkness seems so dark but the truth is ready to shine! We know that God has been preparing us these past 4 1/2 years for this moment in time, to plant ourselves in an unstable community and believe God to bring great transformation!
We thank the Lord for all His wisdom and all the destinations we have traveled. We thank Him for opening doors to continue to love on the people in the Middle East.
